Giving Back to Our Communities
At Savantage, we take corporate citizenship very seriously. In fact, giving back and supporting the communities we do business in is part of our corporate mission. On average, for any given year, we expend between 30% to 50% of our after-tax profits on charitable causes.
Just as we want to help our customers succeed, we also want to help our communities succeed. We believe that by working together, we can accomplish the extraordinary, by helping those in need, and laying the groundwork for a brighter future for generations. Our engagement in our communities primarily include charitable initiatives we support as corporate sponsors, and as well as many charitable outreach activities that are driven by active employee participation.
Employee driven charitable outreach activities are actively supported by Savantage. For example, our I-SAV (I- S=Serve, A=Act, V=Volunteer) program encourages employees to volunteer in their communities by matching paid time off hours one for one with volunteer hours up to 16 hours annually. In addition, funds raised by employees for charitable causes are often matched by the company.
Washington Jesuit Academy Scholarships
Since 2010, Savantage has sponsored four students on full scholarships, as part of our commitment to support educational goals of children in need.
Don Bosco Christo Rey High School and Corporate Work Study Program
Since 2011, Savantage has been a corporate partner of the Don Bosco Christo Rey High School and Corporate Work Study Program . This program is designed to benefit students whose dreams of getting a college education face obstacles due to limited family financial resources. Each year, Savantage sponsors four students from Don Bosco High School. Each student works at Savantage corporate headquarters once a week throughout the school year. Through this program, they gain valuable professional work experience, pay for their tuition, as well as gain exposure to various future career paths through interacting with our employees.
